The 32cm De Buyer Mineral B country frying pan with 2 handles gives you great cooking results every day. Use the pan for everything from sautéing large quantities of potatoes to searing meat.

This large iron pan is fitted with a second handle to make it easier to lift. The high sides help to prevent too much oil-splatter when frying, as well as assisting in turning ingredients either with a spatula or with a wok-like motion.

De Buyer’s Mineral B range of iron pans are coated with natural beeswax. This provides protection against rust. The beeswax also gives Mineral B pans enhanced non-stick properties on the first use compared to other iron pans.

SEASONING INSTRUCTIONS

The De Buyer Mineral B country frying pan with 2 handles requires proper seasoning to keep it in top condition. Before the first use, use hot water and a soft sponge to remove the beeswax coating. Then season the pan – pour in just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan and bring to a high temperature. When a smoky-haze appears remove it from the heat and wipe well with kitchen towel. Now the pan is ready to use.

Always ensure there is enough oil or natural fat (e.g. butter, lard) in the pan when using, then deglaze with hot water and wipe with a paper towel after use. If the pan needs washing, ensure it is completely dried and lightly-oiled before storing. Follow these steps and your pan will build up a dark patina that increases the pan’s non-stick properties. The more you use it, the more non-stick it will become.

This Mineral B country frying pan is 32cm in diameter. The total length including both handles is 43cm. It is suitable for all cooking surfaces including induction.

Please note: due to the manufacturing process there may be scratches on the inner surface of the pan. This does not affect the quality of the product and will disappear with proper seasoning over time.
